In 2006, Ramiro Gonzales received the death penalty for kidnapping, raping and murdering his classmate 18-year-old Bridget Townsend but in his appeals process, his supporters argue that the human brain only matures by a person's mid-twenties and that he has now matured out of his criminal mindset
