The peace of the sleepy hamlet of Little Worthy is disturbed when a man's body is found tied down in a miniature village - just like the hero in classic tale Gulliver's Travels. As the investigation begins, Barnaby has no shortage of suspects, including the victim's recently jilted partner - a teacher whose classroom is full of paintings of the story - his teenage lover, a caretaker and a hotel owner. But the case takes a twist when the killer strikes again amid the chaos of the annual fancy-dress boat race.
