Smudge wins Chief’s offer of being Chief for a day and proposes to deface the statue of Toad outside Toad Hall as a futile gesture to rile Toad! / It’s a stormy day and Toad ignores Ratty’s instructions to tie the sail down. The sail takes off, taking Ratty, Mole, and Hedge with it.
