Spurred on by the father of a young woman who also went missing in the 1970s, the detectives attempt to outwit a serial killer incarcerated in Broadmoor who may hold the key to the case. The prisoner wants to be released from the psychiatric hospital in favour of a normal prison in return for his assistance, and offers cryptic clues as to where a murder victim may be buried
