Novice kayakers Tessa Fleming and Irial Ó Ceallaigh join expert paddler John Hubbocks on an epic journey along the northern coast of Ireland. Tessa and Irial undergo difficult training sessions on the shores of Co Down before beginning their adventure in the tranquil quay in Bunbeg in north-west Co Donegal, heading out to Gabhla island, where Tessa learns about its sombre abandonment and the encouraging signs of a brighter future for returnees.
