Fiona Bruce presents the show from Etaples Military Cemetery in France, as the team discovers the personal stories behind treasured objects associated with the First World War. Among the unique items brought in are two poppies that were picked from Ypres in 1915, a tray that was made by a solider blinded by mustard gas, and a document that was part of the political process to bring the war to an end. Plus, the stories of an Indian army surgeon and a volunteer nurse and ambulance driver who became the first woman to earn the Military Medal for bravery
