Ardal O'Hanlon's journey continues on the Aran Islands, where he learns of their ancient Christian heritage from a practising monk. He then visits the abandoned Great Blasket Island, which is now home to a thriving seal colony and two caretakers, while on nearby Valentia Island, Ardal meets Ireland's only vermouth producers foraging for ingredients, before braving the turbulent sea to set foot on the spectacular Unesco World Heritage site of Skellig Michael.
