Antiques Roadshow
The Royal William Yard
Season 38 Episode 6 of 26
Fiona Bruce and the team visit the Royal William Yard in Plymouth, where they are given the chance to cast their eyes over a number of potentially valuable items. On the waterfront, militaria expert Graham Lay has doubts about a pair of doorknobs thought to have belonged to Admiral Horatio Nelson. The team is impressed by a chess set made from parts of the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal, and a psychedelic painting of a band that performed at Woodstock intrigues Clive Stewart-Lockhart. Plus, jewellery specialist John Benjamin marvels at a diamond necklace the length of a skipping rope, donated to the city of Plymouth by Lady Astor
