Dr Jas Deooray turns her attention to Samantha, a 24-year-old carer who has been looking after her mother since she was 16, but is now racked with anxiety, self-doubt and depression. Dr Iyer treats Louise, a 91-year-old who worries her prolapsed uterus might mean she is unable to fly to Canada to see her sister. Meanwhile, Nurse Swinburne tries to get a patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to stop smoking cigarettes and weed. She recommends a course to help him combat his addictions, but he proves reluctant to comply when he discovers each session lasts four hours
