Lindisfarne's Geordie Genius: The Alan Hull Story

Sam Fender remembers the poet, songwriter and musician who led the band Lindisfarne to fame in the early 1970s, writing hit songs such as Lady Eleanor and Fog on the Tyne. Sam digs out archive interviews, performances and unseen footage, and meets friends, family and bandmates who knew Hull prior to his early death in 1995. He also hears the thoughts of contributors Sting, Elvis Costello, Mark Knopfler, Dave Stewart and Peter Gabriel

Lindisfarne's Geordie Genius: The Alan Hull Story airs on BBC Four at 2:30 AM, Saturday 22 February. (Subtitles.)
