Troubled therapist Suzanne witnessed her mother killing her father when she was just six years old, and she has carried the trauma with her for 25 years. Taking up a post as a university psychology lecturer, she constantly worries she has inherited her mother's homicidal tendency. However, a greater concern arrives when an unknown gunman opens fire on campus, causing several casualties, and Suzanne realises she must step into the fray to save her students after she learns the shooter is a man from her own past.
