Alison from Hertfordshire searches the sister she did not know existed for over 50 years, after discovering old family photographs in a wallet. The photographs showed Alison's mother holding a baby with 'Amanda' written on the back and a date of 1951, meaning Alison has a half-sister she never knew. Elsewhere in the programme, John, a builder from Yorkshire, is haunted by not knowing his father, and after applying for his adoption files, he begins the search for his birth parents, Marlene and Kenneth
