Antiques Roadshow
Scone Palace 2
Season 37 Episode 4 of 27
Fiona Bruce and the team are at Scone Palace in Perthshire, which they first visited back in March, discovering several items with historical connections. They include a 19th-century military campaign box said to have been stolen from Napoleon, a portrait of a woman who helped save the lives of hundreds of Jews in occupied Holland during the Second World War and a silver tea service that was once to be melted down to raise funds for a Spitfire. A teacher also brings in a leather strap, a fearsome implement of corporal punishment that wasn't outlawed until the 1980s
Antiques Roadshow airs on U&Yesterday HD at 6:10 AM, Wednesday 19 March. (Subtitles.)
