Joy Dunlop introduces some of Scotland's most talented young musicians as they compete in the semi-finals of this prestigious traditional music award. Twelve musicians perform for a distinguished jury at BBC Scotland's Pacific Quay headquarters, but only six will be selected to go through to the final which takes place on 2 February 2025 in Glasgow's City Halls as part of the Celtic Connections Festival
