The staff tackle Christmas, the biggest event of the year, but Mark Jenkins faces one problem after another. His bargain decorations do not create the Santa's Grotto he had envisaged, he ends up handling the room bookings when reservations manager Alison phones in sick, and it takes him until Christmas morning to remember that vegetarians don't eat turkey, leading him on a wild goose chase round Torquay for a meat-free alternative. And with the arrival of a couple of new guests who have cooked for none other than the Queen, the Grosvenor's standards are under scrutiny
