Curator Alan Wakefield acquires the bracelet of Sergeant William Robinson Clarke, the first black pilot to join the Royal Flying Corps, to help tell the story of his vital contribution to the Second World War. While the finishing touches are being made to a replica of a bomb-damaged 1940s house, complete with personal items from the curators' own relatives, Second World War curator Vikki Hawkins uncovers rare artefacts to surprise and engage visitors to the galleries, including the story of Rex, the dog who was awarded the Dicken Medal for animal bravery for his work during the Blitz
