Medical doctors, science broadcasters and identical twins Chris and Xand van Tulleken team up to research their family tree. They grew up surrounded by old paintings and documents commemorating characters from their Dutch ancestry, but despite this wealth of family archive, the twins know little about their heritage. Their journey takes them back to the Netherlands, where they look into the career of sea captain Jan Tulleken, their four-times great-grandfather, a staunch royalist who joined the Dutch navy at 13. But as they trace the story back, they reveal a troubling story
