Period drama telling the story of Clarice Cliff, who broke the glass ceiling and helped revolutionise the workplace in the 20th century. Clarice is a vivacious young factory worker in the industrial British midlands of the 1920s. Bursting with ideas for colours and shapes, she takes more and more dangerous risks, but manages to stay one step ahead of the workhouse and impress eccentric factory owner Colley Shorter with her talent and innovation.
