Wales: Land of the Wild
Season 1 Episode 4 of 4
The documentary peeks into the lives of several animals throughout autumn, the season of change, when about half of all British breeding goshawks come to Wales, thriving in woodlands across the country. On a smaller scale, the ivy bee synchronises its six-week life cycle around the plant from which it takes its name, while on an island off the Pembrokeshire coast, grey seals and their pups relax in the late season sunshine. But before long winter sets in and flocks of starlings find a place to roost, heading to the coast where temperatures are milder
Wales: Land of the Wild airs on Virgin Media Three at 7:55 PM, Sunday 16 March. (Subtitles, repeat.)
