Ash and Scribbs investigate the death of a school secretary involved in a hit-and-run incident. The headmaster is distraught at the loss of a respected colleague, but becomes prime suspect when his car is found to be damaged. However, it also appears the victim had a lot of influence over the parents of some of the pupils - did this seemingly dowdy woman have more enemies than was commonly thought?
