The Egyptian Book of the Dead
A version of the ancient text once buried with an Egyptian scribe called Ani to guide him in the afterlife. The book, now preserved in the British Museum, is the first written account of any religion, a likely source of the Ten Commandments and thought to be the oldest surviving document in human history
