Pilgrimage: The Road Through the Alps

The pilgrims travel from Appenzell to their final destination at Einsiedeln Abbey. They witness a lively cattle show in Urnasch, learn about the Jewish heritage of two Swiss villages and tackle a muddy and steep path through the mountains as the weather deteriorates further. Finally, they reach the beautiful 10th-century abbey church, with its famed Black Madonna in the Chapel of Mercy
