Vicky Pattison and Lucinda Light host as 12 daters enter Truetopia, a sunny and romantic paradise, in pursuit of true love. While the daters explore romances with their matches, they are regularly tested by the Honesty Box - a state-of-the-art lie detection system that asks probing questions about their true feelings. The penalty for dishonesty is a reduction to the £100,000 'Trust Fund'. In the first episode, Vicky and Lucinda invite participants to explore romances with their new matches. As night falls, it's revealed that lies have been told, and suspicions arise at the Truth Terrace
