Singer Kelly Clarkson explores her mother's side of the family and goes on to investigate the life of her great-great-great-grandfather Isaiah Rose, who fought against slavery during the American Civil War. His is a story of wartime bravery and sacrifice, which leads from one of the pivotal battles of the conflict to internment in a brutal prison camp.
