Les Bleus claimed a hard-fought 20-16 victory in Edinburgh last year, with a late Scotland try that would have given them the win disallowed by the television match official. Following their excellent win in Dublin last time out, this round of fixtures got under way with France at the top of the table due to having more bonus points than England and Ireland, while the Scots are guaranteed at least fourth, but need other results to go their way if they are to finish in the top three.
