An experienced US marine sergeant returns to a former unit to help train a squad of raw recruits and prepare them for deployment to war zones. While there, he clashes with the platoon under his command, who don't see the need for his stricter methods during a time of peace, as well as his more youthful commanding officer, and also his ex-wife, with whom he wishes to reconnect. Action adventure, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, also starring Marsha Mason, Everett McGill, Moses Gunn, Mario Van Peebles, and Bo Svenson.
