Love Monster, Tiniest Fluffiest Bunny and Bad Idea Puppy arrive at Elder Kitten's house with a cart full of decorating things. It's Makeover Day, and they want to make over Elder Kitten's living room while he gets a relaxing makeover himself at the Fluffytown spa. When they finish, Love Monster thinks it's very different from Elder Kitten's usual style. He starts to wonder whether Elder Kitten will be good surprised or bad surprised. Just then, Elder Kitten returns from his spa day. Bad Idea Puppy and Tiniest Fluffiest Bunny show him his new living room and explain that they decorated with the best bright things they could think of. As Elder Kitten looks on a little unsure, Love Monster asks him whether he loves it. Elder Kitten is a little lost for words and, not wanting to hurt their feelings, he simply agrees with them that it's bright and very different. Love Monster can tell that Elder Kitten doesn't like it, and eventually Elder Kitten gently admits that it's not really his style. The friends realise that they got so excited that they just did the makeover how they would like it but not how Elder Kitten would like it. They apologise, but Elder Kitten says it's okay and gives them a hug. Tiniest Fluffiest Bunny asks how they can make it up to him, and Elder Kitten suggests that they make over their makeover in his favourite paint colour. As they get to work, Elder Kitten spots one of their paw prints in paint on the floor covers and has an idea. Later, the room is decorated but with a border of colourful paw prints around the middle. Now he'll always think of his favourite bright things even when they're not there. Sometimes, the brightest surprises are best when you think of your friends.
