Rachel Perkins examines the British Empire's abolition of slavery and how abolitionists attempted to negotiate treaties with the Indigenous people. She focuses on the downfall of these treaties due to setter interests and how this killed around 72,000 Aboriginal people with the Native Police, assigned by new government, moving north. In the north and west the pattern is repeated, a process of quieting blacks begins, also known as the 'killing times'
