The designers work alone for the first time in the contest, each being assigned to transform a beach hut at Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex, in just two days on a budget of £1000. Working in a small space presents a serious challenge, and while some designers decide to incorporate existing features in their vision, others ruthlessly strip the huts bare in a bid to make their mark.
