The documentary follows the final few weeks of the appeals process in Texas as Ramiro Gonzales desperately tries to have his execution overturned, while the family of his victims seek justice. In 2006, Ramiro Gonzales received the death penalty for kidnapping, raping and murdering a former classmate, 18-year-old Bridget Townsend, but in his appeals process, his supporters argue that the human brain only matures by a person's mid-twenties and he has now become a man of deep religious faith
