Peter visits one of his oldest clients, whose lame cow is in pain. Suspecting a broken pedal bone, Peter turns shoemaker, fashioning a heel to help take the weight off its foot. Prize-fighting pussycat Rocky has a badly damaged eyeball after several rounds in the back garden with a local heavyweight moggie. The cut is badly infected and when antibiotics fail to help, Julian makes the difficult decision to remove the eye
