Part two of two. On Insula Occidentalis close by Pompeii, excavations at the Library House reveal much about the lifestyle of its owners. Archaeologists know that it was a life of luxury, a life of ease, but in an instant it was devastated by the eruption of Vesuvius. The cataclysm suspended Pompeii in time.
