A woman abandoned to the slums by her wealthy husband for alleged infidelity gives birth to a baby son, Raj. In time Raj is forced into a life of crime to support his mother and falls in with a notorious bandit, whom he discovers was responsible for driving his parents apart. In a fit of rage, Raj kills him and ends up on trial, where his childhood sweetheart is his defence counsel and his own father the judge.
