El Cid
An 11th-century Spanish nobleman fights to free the nation from the conquering Moors. However, his refusal to compromise a strict code of honour makes him several enemies among his fellow Spaniards, and plots are soon afoot to bring about his downfall. Anthony Mann's historical drama based on the play by Pierre Corneille, starring Charlton Heston, Sophia Loren, Raf Vallone, John Fraser, Herbert Lom and Gary Raymond.
