Fireman Sam and the rest of the team are training Mike Flood and Charlie Jones to be reserve firemen and Station Officer Steele is very pleased with their progress. / It’s Sam’s birthday and Charlie has got Joe to make Sam a remote control model of Jupiter. Unfortunately Hannah and Sarah decide to play with it and accidentally break it! / It is nearly Christmas in Pontypandy and Norman is keen to have the best Christmas decorations which leads to Dilys putting too many into one plug socket leading to a fire. / Norman Price gets Trevor Evans and Tom Thomas to have a competition to see whose food tastes better. Trevor Evans puts coal on to his barbecue causing some trees to catch fire. / Bronwyn takes Sarah and Nipper the dog out on a walk along the cliffs to tire out Nipper but trouble strikes when Sarah falls on a rock and hurts her leg. / A heatwave hits Pontypandy and the fire crew are relaxing and trying to keep cool. Chief Fire Officer Boyce has other ideas as he puts his rigorous fitness routine into action.
