In Emmerdale spoilers for Thursday, April 10, Jacob goes into anaphylactic shock after drinking from the wrong coffee cup.
Elsewhere, after helping her sister out, a drunk Vanessa rips into Tracy and reveals her secret to the whole pub.
Here’s a full rundown of what is happening in the hour-long episode of Emmerdale.
1. Jacob’s life is at risk in Emmerdale spoilers
Viewers are aware that Jacob Gallagher has a severe nut allergy. We previously saw this in action in 2023 when Jacob collapsed after eating food in The Hide that had been prepared by Victoria.
Victoria was sacked for her mistake – after she’d wrongly told Jacob the meal was nut-free. In a twist of fate or major coincidence, Victoria happens to be there when it happens again.
On Thursday, April 10, Jacob takes a sip out of the wrong coffee cup. He soon goes into anaphylactic shock and panics when he can’t find his AAI pen.
Victoria watches on. Having witnessed this before, will she be able to help?
2. Vanessa dishes the dirt on Tracy
During Wednesday’s episode (April 9), Tracy Robinson tearfully confessed to sister Vanessa that she’d been stealing from Pollard’s shop. Although shocked, Vanessa was understanding and even gave Tracy the money to pay back what she owed.
Tracy handed the wad of cash over to Pollard, telling him she’d found it wedged between the safe and wall.
But tonight, Vanessa decides she doesn’t want to play nice anymore. While drunk and angry in the Woolpack, Vanessa rips into Tracy and tells Pollard all about Tracy’s thievery.
Pollard is devastated by the betrayal and fires Tracy on the spot, as the pub falls silent to observe the spectacle.
3. John’s secrets exposed in Emmerdale spoilers
On Wednesday, we saw John Sugden visit a man in a coma in hospital. We don’t yet know who he was (though we have our suspicions), but tonight more about John will be revealed.
We’ve seen this week he has started to crack under pressure. He is not sleeping and made a huge mistake at work, misdiagnosing Kerry, who had a potentially fatal illness. John is now under instense scrutiny from Liam, who is reviewing all of his work.
Wednesday night saw John lash out at Liam over the review and he struggled to keep his temper in check. He has also been seen smashing up a car in a rage this week.
On Thursday, we will finally find out exactly what secrets and lies John has been keeping – and the lengths he’s gone to stay in control.
