Here’s our pick of the plots for this week in Emmerdale.

1. Steph digs as John’s in the spotlight
After the flowers arrived claiming to be from Anthony, Steph is convinced her grandad/father is still alive. When Jai admits to sending the flowers, Ruby is furious and tells him about the abuse. Ashamed Jai immediately backs off.
But it’s too late to convince Steph who is sure Anthony isn’t dead and is and back to punish them. She heads off to the woods to try and dig up his grave.
The family arrive to stop her, but when it’s clear the soil hasn’t been dug into in years and is undisturbed, suspicion turns to John. Now we all know John has done some shady things to stay in control – is keeping Anthony alive and lying about his burial place one of them?

2. Joe slips up – leading Caleb to suspect in Emmerdale spoilers
With Joe back in town he stumbles upon Ruby and Jai’s argument and is intrigued. As he starts to ask questions about the family, Caleb decides it’s best to keep him close and invites him for lunch.
However once the gathering is over, Joe forgets his coat – with his medication in the pocket. When he goes back to collect it, the pills fall out and Joe’s reaction immediately rouses Caleb’s suspicions.
Putting his plan to work out what Joe is up to into motion, Caleb tears down a light fitting and asks Noah to come and fix it. While he’s there, Caleb asks him questions about Joe. Noah admits he had visions of Joe when he was spiked and Caleb begins to work out exactly what has gone on…

3. John is slowly losing it
His secrets driving him mad and desperate to stay in control, John lashes out when Aaron suggests they take Chas and Liam’s wedding booking for their own nuptials. John is furious not to have been consulted and storms off. Aaron is super-confused – well, he would be!
But John soon apologises and opens up over his control issues – though stops short of confessing exactly what he’s capable of. However things get awkward again when Aaron asks who he wants to invite to the wedding.
John has no real friends or family apart from Victoria. She resolves to help by contacting his old army friends and getting them involved. But is she opening a whole can of worms John would rather stayed firmly shut?

As she pushes Billy away while she makes her decision, Dawn confides in Manpreet. But who will she ultimately choose to be with?
