As Sarah and Kammy make a go of things, Emmerdale fans fear the clues are there she will die soon

In Emmerdale Sarah has been trying to keep her illness a secret from Kammy, fearing he would leave her like Jacob did. But now that he knows the truth, fans can’t help but fear her time may be running out.

Sarah has been living with the genetic disease Fanconi Anaemia which led to a bone marrow transplant and later a heart transplant due to heart failure. And while the life expectancy is shorter than the norm, she could still live to around 40 years old.

However, with her illness coming back into focus on Emmerdale, many fans have wondered if the show is actually foreshadowing her death. And we know we still have the scene of Cain crying over a grave coming up…

Could Sarah die in Emmerdale?

It’s inevitable that one day, we will lose Sarah from our screens due to her illness. But we are all hoping it won’t be for a very long time.

Sarah has taken centre stage in Emmerdale recently, and she is proving to be more like her mum, Debbie, every episode. Earlier this week she was even arrested for stealing Cain’s car and a bunch of electronics from Rodney – who she locked in the back of a van – a very Dingle thing to do!

However, her main reason for doing it was to impress new-boy Kammy, who had no idea about her illness. But when he arrived at her house looking for her, he caught Cain and Charity with her meds and the truth was revealed.

Unlike Jacob, Kammy wasn’t scared off by the illness, and vowed to not let it affect their relationship. He even fumed at Jacob for using it as a reason to break-up with Sarah. But just as they grow closer, could Sarah be heading for an early death?

Could Sarah’s illness in Emmerdale will kill her soon

Taking to a Reddit thread, one said: “Sarah will probably be told she hasn’t got long left. And she might realise she wants to spend that time with Jacob. Or perhaps she stays with Kammy but it gets too much for him to handle.

“It would be an interesting storyline, but a very heavy subject. I know someday she will pass away but it is upsetting as she is a loved character.”

Another fan commented: “I did wonder whether the frequent mentions this year would mean anything as I can’t recall Sarah talking about her limited lifespan in years. Cain has already lost Zak, Amy and Nate recently so I hope she doesn’t die soon. And it would be cruel for Jacob to lose another girlfriend – especially so soon after Leyla. However, it is Emmerdale..”

On another Reddit thread, it seemed the theory remained common.

One wrote: “I can’t help but wonder if it’s Sarah’s grave that Cain is crying over.”

This was backed up by another viewer. They penned: “I have been saying it’s Sarah since they showed the flash-forward. She was barely used and all of a sudden she is in loads of episodes and frequently talks about her illness.”

While it remains to be seen if Sarah will be dying in Emmerdale due to her illness anytime soon, we hope we have her on our screens for a while longer!
