Last week saw Brenda Walker leave Emmerdale for a three month cruise, but with Lesley Dunlop leaving the role permanently, fans have predicted that Brenda will die while on board the ship.
Brenda recently won a competition prize of a free cruise and opted to take the trip with Cathy Hope.
While Cathy will be back at a later date, Brenda will not, leading to fans to speculate how she will be written out.
Brenda leaves Emmerdale
During Friday’s episode, Brenda shared some touching moments with her closest friends.
She also visited Heath’s grave to pay her respects. Brenda apologised for not being able to visit for a while. She was soon joined by Bob, who reassured her that he would visit regularly and would put new flowers on her daughter Gennie’s grave every week as well as Heath’s.
Before departing in a taxi, Pollard arrived just in time to see them off. He told her that it wasn’t a goodbye, it was ‘just au revoir.’
Lesley Dunlop joined Emmerdale as Brenda Walker in 2008, with news breaking last year that she was leaving after 17 years in the role.
Fan theory predicts Brenda will die in Emmerdale
There have been a few theories floating around about how Brenda will be written out of the soap on a permanent basis.
The most popular one being that she will move to Canada to be with granddaughter Molly. However, some fans have come up with a different solution. One which involves her dying while on the cruise.
“Is Brenda going to die on this cruise or go all Shirley Valentine? – it’s only for ‘3 months,'” asked one fan on X.
A second fan responded: “Probably fell overboard knowing Emmerdale.
With a third fan writing: “Emmerdale predictions for Brenda not coming back range from her moving to Canada to the ship sinking.” But, will she die on her travels?
Emmerdale usually airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV, with an early release at 7am on ITVX.
Classic Emmerdale usually airs weekdays at 6am and 6.30am, plus 1.40pm and 2.10pm on ITV3.
