It’s not happy families when father and son come face to face
In Classic Emmerdale spoilers airing on ITV3 on Monday, April 7, David and Eric’s family reunion doesn’t go well!
Meanwhile Shadrach meets an old flame and Paddy and Toni get closer. These episodes first aired on November 29 and 30 2006.
David punches his new dad!
When the truth that Eric is David’s dad is revealed, things don’t go well! Eric ends up with a bloody nose, and he’s furious about the whole thing. He denies that David could be his son. Harsh!
Pollard adds that he needs concrete proof to accept that he’s David’s dad.
Later Eric confesses to Val that he nicked £20k off David’s mum and he’s worried that’s David’s pretending to be his son to get his hands on the cash!
David’s not happy, either, and he tells Del what a disappointment his dad turned out to be.
Paddy and Toni share secrets
Still stuck in the lift, Paddy and Toni start to share secrets. As they enjoy a heart to heart, Paddy opens up about his confidence crisis, and then shocks Toni when he reveals something about his dad.
Back to school!
Shadrach’s been posing as Belle’s dad but now there’s a disciplinary meeting at school and Belle really wants him to go along to keep up the pretence.
Shadrach’s not keen on getting back into the classroom, but Belle tries hard to persuade him. It’s only when Shadrach takes a fancy to Belle’s teacher, though, that he finally agrees – as long as Belle ‘pays’ him with a bottle of whiskey! How will she manage to get her hands on the booze?
Too many lies in Classic Emmerdale spoilers
Eric thinks David is scamming him to get his hands on his cash, so he makes the decision to be friendly towards his ‘son’ and tries to get some DNA proof.
He gives David his old job at the factory back and manages to take one of David’s hairs from the back of his jacket. He gives it to one of his dodgy mates to do the DNA test.
Val’s on the warpath
Val’s suspicious about Eric’s change of attitude, when he asks David to move in with him and even offers him a share of the business. When she loses her purse and goes looking for it, she accidentally finds the DNA test results – a sheepish Eric then admits he did the test behind David’s back.
Shadrach’s old flame
A tipsy Shadrach’s been dragged to Belle’s school for a meeting with her teacher, Mrs Burgess, posing as Belle’s dad. But when he spots an old photograph on the wall, he realises that Mrs Burgess is an old flame from years ago!
