Emmerdale fans fear Steph and John scene at bridge foreshadowed another death
Steph has been put through enough recently
Emmerdale fans have been convinced that John Sugden is a murderer for months. And it seems they aren’t letting it go.
But last night’s episode (March 27) may have given them the biggest clue yet. And also may have foreshadowed his next victim.
From theories that he murdered Aidan Moore in his past, to most recently being responsible for Nate’s death, there are many reasons why John Sugden looks shady. And after a conversation with Steph, Emmerdale fans are convinced he’s gearing up to take another life.

Emmerdale foreshadowing another John murder?
Last night, Steph was still struggling with the truth about who her biological father really is. And she took herself off for a stroll. But she ended up at the “bridge of doom”. The same bridge where Meena killed Leanna.
It was John who found her there, and he even commented on how it was a “nice” location. (Don’t think Liam would agree with you, John.) But then John suddenly seemed very caring towards Steph and the pair began to talk about Anthony.
However, it was Steph’s comment about burying bodies that has fans convinced that John definitely is a killer.
When the pair were talking about Anthony’s grave, Steph said: “You’re part of the secret gang right? Buried many bodies have you?.”
John paused before responding: “That’s a fair question. No, I haven’t.” But right after saying it, there was a slight raise on the corner of his mouth, as if he was trying not to smirk.
This one comment was enough to convince everyone that he most certainly has buried more bodies than we know. And if Steph digs anymore, she may end up in the target line.

Fans fear for Steph
However, he covered himself well, immediately turning the attention onto Steph. The pair then headed back to his flat and bonded some more.
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: “Psycho John is going to get fed up with Steph. He is definitely going to kill somebody soon.”
Another added: “Steph confiding in John while standing on the bridge of doom. This isn’t looking good for her.”
A third penned: “Surely Steph and John standing on the bridge of death is foreshadowing him murdering someone (maybe her) there?.”
With fans finally enjoying more of Steph’s character, it would be a shame if Emmerdale decided to kill her off. And just how much more trauma are they going to throw onto her family?
