Emmerdale spoilers: Steph takes drastic action to rid herself of any trace of Anthony as Jai continues to play detective

Traumatised Steph is haunted by Anthony’s ghost in next week’s Emmerdale spoilers, as she desperately searches for ways to erase her resemblance to the monstrous rapist. And the murder club are under threat as Jai pushes forward with his quest to get to the truth.

Steph is spiralling in Emmerdale spoilers

Steph Miligan‘s life has been turned upside down since discovering the sickening truth about Anthony being her real dad. A lifetime’s worth of secrets and lies were revealed as Steph learnt Ruby murdered Anthony and Caleb covered up the crime.

At the start of the week, Steph’s in a mess as she struggles with the knowledge of her paternity. Jai picks up on her vulnerable state and is suspicious. He knows the Miligans know more about Anthony’s disappearance than they’re letting on and wants to see if he can crack Steph.

Jai can’t help noticing Steph’s reaction every time Anthony’s name is mentioned and continues to press. Caleb arrives just in time and comes up with an impromptu cover story about Anthony. Will Jai buy it though?

Steph looks into plastic surgery

Later, Steph tells Ruby all she sees is Anthony every time she looks in the mirror. Ruby offers her daughter comfort and hopes her words will be enough to give Steph some closure.

However, Steph soon decides the only way to rid her resemblance to Anthony is by going under the knife. She starts scouring the internet, looking into surgeons who will be able to permanently alter her appearance.

Next day, Caleb and Ruby plan a nice family day out to escape their misery. Caleb fails to return from the depot on time so Ruby and Steph are left alone. For the first time in their lives, mother and daughter have a completely honest chat.

Jai is on the case in Emmerdale spoilers

Meanwhile, super sleuth Jai is continuing to hunt for clues over what happened to Anthony. It seems Caleb’s little story about his father-in-law hasn’t been enough to get Jai off the case.

Jai approaches former wife Laurel with a few questions about her last encounter with the OAP. Will she let slip anything that might incriminate Ruby? And is Jai about to discover the truth about Anthony’s grisly death?

Emmerdale usually airs weeknights on ITV at 7.30pm, with an early release on ITVX at 7am.
