Emmerdale fans spot Christine Tremarco in Netflix’s most-talked about show Adolescence and they can’t believe it
Her accent is so different.
Emmerdale fans spotted former star Christine Tremarco in new show Adolescence and can’t believe the difference from her time in the ITV soap.
The actress starred in Emmerdale last year, but now she’s popped up in Netflix’s most-talked about new show Adolescence.
Fans have now taken to social media to express their shock at how much better she is in this new role.

Christine Tremarco in Emmerdale
Christine played Rose Jackson in Emmerdale. Rose is the ex-wife of Will Taylor and mum to Dawn Fletcher. Rose abandoned Dawn when she was a small child and wound up working in Benidorm.
Last year, while back in the UK, Rose broke her arm. The hospital called Will as he was listed as her emergency contact. Will told Rose she wasn’t welcome. But later, Rose got talking to a couple with a baby. Remarkably, that coupled turned out to be Dawn and Billy.
While Dawn initially told her mum to get lost, they did slowly start to repair their relationship. Dawn even convinced Kim Tate to let Rose stay at Home Farm.
Rose came between Kim and Will and it was eventually revealed that she was being paid by Ruby Fox-Miligan to destroy the couple’s marriage. Ruby wanted revenge for her husband Caleb, who had beef with Kim. While, in return, Rose had her debts paid off.
Rose did manage to seduce Will, after plying him with alcohol. But her stay in the village was almost up as Kim had worked out her plan.

Emmerdale fans spot Christine Tremarco in Adolescence
Netflix recently dropped new series Adolescence, which has got everybody talking. Amongst the drama, fans also spotted a familiar face in the form of former Waterloo Road star Christine.
The four-part series follows the horrifying fictional story of 13-year-old Jamie who is accused of stabbing a classmate to death. Christine stars as Jamie’s mum, Manda Miller, opposite Stephen Graham as Jamie’s father, Eddie.
Fans are impressed at her new role, with one writing on Reddit: “I feel so vindicated that she was good in Adolescence because she wasn’t the best at all in Emmerdale, and I kept telling my mam ‘but she was really good in Waterloo Road!'”
A second fan said: “She was really good in Adolescence.” While a third fan wrote: “Omg I didn’t click she played Dawn’s mum. Yes her acting was brilliant in Adolescence.”
Other fans pointed out the difference in her accent, with one saying: “Her acting was great and Christine was well cast in the family. I didn’t have a clue what her true accent was because of her Emmerdale accent!”
A fifth fan also commented on the accent, and wrote: “I had to watch interviews after to find out if her Adolescence Scouse accent was acted or real. I honestly don’t know how Scouse, Geordie or Brummie folk manage to hide their accents. Like Jodie Comer, she hides it well!”
