Who drugged Chas in Emmerdale? ‘Clues’ point to Ella, John or Chas herself
Chas denies she overdosed
Chas Dingle collapsed in tonight’s Emmerdale and was taken to hospital where it was confirmed she had overdosed on her painkillers. But as she swears blind she took them correctly, what’s really going on here?
There seems to be three possible options: Ella, who seems too obvious, John who wanted to be the hero, or Chas herself covering up an addiction.
So whodunnit?

Chas collapsed in Emmerdale tonight
Things got heated in Emmerdale on Tuesday night (March 18) when Chas clashed with love rival Ella Forster. A spilled drink led to a public confrontation and the women are now the talk of the village.
Meanwhile, Chas didn’t react with joy to son Aaron’s engagement to John – and John is fixated on it.
As John sat with Victoria trying to figure out a way to make his future mother-in-law love him, she advised her bro just to wait it out. She said Chas would come round eventually if he showed love and loyalty to her son.
But John just wouldn’t wait – he decided to go and have it out with Chas. Lucky he did really, because she had grown woozy whilst in the pub on her own and collapsed, hitting her head on the bar.
John found her and she was taken to hospital. Tests there showed she had taken too much codeine, which she is taking for her back pain following the lake limo crash last month. Chas insisted she was being careful and only taking the correct dose and Liam said he was keeping a close eye on her.
So how did the drugs get into her system then?
Who drugged Chas in Emmerdale?

Ella Forster
The obvious choice is Ella. The women are at war over Liam Cavanagh, although it’s pretty clear Chas has won so why Ella doesn’t just try to move on is beyond us.
By tomorrow the finger is firmly pointing at Ella. She had means, working in the doctors so could get her hands on the meds, and motive. Cut and dry case, right?
Well, next week, Ella insists she is innocent. And she is determined to prove it. She refuses to leave the village and announces Chas must have framed her.
Ella is insistent Chas has a problem and she’s the one who overdosed herself. Is she right?

Chas Dingle
Although Chas is full of conviction she did not take the wrong dose of pills, fans have worried for a while she may develop a painkiller addiction related to her crash injuries.
Next week, Ella corners Liam and insists Chas has an addiction. He then goes rummaging around Chas’ cupboards (not a euphemism!). Chas catches him and he admits he was checking her pills. She is furious, but it’s clear he was swayed by Ella’s argument.
Chas goes to have it out with Ella, but Ella remains firm: Chas is addicted.
It’s she said against she said right now and Ella has a history of lying. But then again that would be perfect for Chas’ cover-up – so who’s telling the truth?

John Sugden
All-the-while this is going on, no one’s looking in John Sugden‘s direction – and we think that’s suss.
John is desperate for Chas to like him – and we’ve already seen the lengths John will go to when he wants something – and what better way to win her approval than saving her life?
Did John tamper with her tablets in order to swoop in and be the hero of the hour? After all, she couldn’t be against his engagement to Aaron then, could she?
