A new Emmerdale fan theory has suggested that Cain Dingle will be the one to tell Steph about Anthony’s abuse of Ruby. This comes as last night Steph demanded answers from her family – confused as to why Cain was the one making threats when he was the guilty party.

What she doesn’t know is that her dear old ‘granddad’ is dead – murdered by Ruby after years of sexual abuse. She also doesn’t know that Anthony is her biological father, as confirmed by a paternity test earlier this year.

This is all bound to come out sooner rather than later – especially given Steph’s relentlessness in pursuing the truth. Caleb and Steph tried to tell her that Anthony had beat his daughter as a teenager, but that’s barely cutting it.

And one fan thinks that Steph will get her answers soon enough – from Cain Dingle, no less.

Cain to tell Steph the truth about Anthony, Emmerdale fan predicts

Writing on a Reddit thread, one fan suggested that Cain could be the one to tell Steph the truth about Anthony.

“I think Cain is going to be the one who tells Steph the truth about Anthony raping her mother and his role her conception.” this fan shared.

Elsewhere, others debated Steph’s behaviour in the episode, with one viewer writing: “Is it me or every scene now consists of her walking into a room, throwing an insult and walking out only to return to the next scene where she does the same thing just in a different location?”

“It makes me wonder why she continues to stay there. It’s not as though she grew up here or has lifelong friends. It seems she wants to stay to snark at her parents and punish them for grandad leaving,” said another.

“She’s an annoying character. They need to give her more purpose than this,” a third commented.

When will Steph find out the truth?
