Emmerdale's Anthony split pic

Emmerdale spoilers for next week reveal Anthony Fox is murdered. While some viewers are happy about this news, others believe he should be jailed for his crime.

Anthony arrived in Emmerdale in November 2024, turning daughter Ruby Fox-Miligan’s life upside down. In an emotional flashback episode, it was revealed that Anthony had sexually abused Ruby when she was a teenager.

Recent scenes have seen Ruby send off a DNA test in order to determine whether her dad or husband Caleb is the father of her daughter Steph.

Next week, a flashforward episode will show Anthony lying dead – a development that has divided fans.

Fans divided over Anthony’s demise

Upon details of this storyline being released, fans flocked to social media to have their say on Anthony Fox‘s murder.

A second fan added: “[Bleep] so pain free from his cancer, easy road out. Rather him in jail suffering and dealing with the shame.” A third fan agreed, writing: “I don’t want him murdered, I want him imprisoned for his evil past!”
A fourth fan said: “He should have had the law deal with him. This is the easy way out but if murdered someone else gets punished for a crime.”
However, other fans are happy to see the back of him. “Good, he’s awful,” a fifth fan simply responded. While another said: “Glad we don’t have another drawn out story, glad he’s gone.”
A seventh fan added: “Yes, yes, yes. Won’t have to see his creepy face or evil voice again. Hope it’s Caleb, but I think it might be Cain,” with another fan writing: “Good riddance.”
