Ross Barton/Mackenzie Boyd split image

Viewers have slammed the current Emmerdale Mack storyline as they admit they “can’t wait” for Ross to “wipe the smile off his face.”

When bad boy Ross Barton arrived back in the village, he did so in true Ross fashion – taking part in an illegal fight club. But when the police arrived and everything went wrong, Mackenzie stole some money. And Ross has been given the blame.

Last night’s episode (December 3) saw Mack taunt Ross, using his relationship with Moses. And when Ross gave him some money to give to his son, Mack quickly made fun of how little there was.

Mack and Ross clash over Moses

He began splashing the stolen cash on Christmas presents for both Charity and Moses, before giving Amy a large sum to get to Reuben. But it seems viewers are on team Ross.

Jade began threatening two people Ross cares most about – April and Moses. So when reality sets in that she means business, Ross knows he has to keep his loved ones safe.

We know April finds herself in danger this week because of Jade’s threats, but will Mackenzie ever speak out and admit it was him? Or will he just enjoy watching everyone blame Ross?

After the episode, fans couldn’t help but express on social media how much they want Ross to come out on top.
