Jai spins Laurel a dreadful lie in their ugly divorce battle
Vengeful Jai is determined Laurel won’t get a penny from him in their divorce. And in Emmerdale spoilers for next week, he screws his estranged wife over by telling a huge lie.
Jai makes out he’s sold his assets, meaning there’s no money left for Laurel. But will she realise it’s just part of his plan to get even?

Jai is out for revenge in Emmerdale spoilers
Laurel and Jai’s split is getting messier by the minute. The Sharma’s ego was massively bruised when Laurel called time on their marriage and he’s struggling to accept it.
But as far as Laurel is concerned there’s no going back. She can’t forgive Jai for what he did to Amit and Suni and wants a clean break.
Laurel’s divorce demand broke Jai’s heart, but it didn’t take him long to turn nasty. Since then, he’s trying all kinds of ways to make Laurel suffer. These have included deliberately taking Archie to live with him and verbally abusing Laurel in front of customers at The Hide.
Make no mistake, bad Jai is back! And he’s got plenty more misery in store for his former spouse.

Jai makes a horrifying discovery
Meanwhile, Gabby is excited when Laurel comes to her with a business proposition. She wants to buy Jai’s shares in the Hide, and Gabby is all in favour. But surprise, surprise, Jai is livid when he finds out what’s going on.
As Gabby unveils Laurel as the new investor, the red mist descends over Jai. As far he’s concerned this is yet another betrayal and he wants to make her pay.
Jai is already convinced that Laurel is on a mission to bleed him dry. We don’t really know where he’s got the idea from because if there’s one thing Laurel’s not that’s money-hungry. But Jai has got it into his head she wants his dosh and vows not to let that happen.

Jai spins a wicked lie
Later, the estranged couple head to mediation to try and work through things in a civil manner.
But there’s a shock in store Jai tells the mediator he’s sold both Holdgate and Tenants to settle his debts. It’s a cunning lie, of course, Jai still owns the properties, but he doesn’t want Laurel to know that. What a snake!
Jai’s intention is clear – by making out he’s broke, he won’t have any money to pay Laurel. But will she fall for his latest fib?
Afterwards, the guilt is weighing on Jai as he catches up with Caleb. No stranger to deception himself, Caleb congratulates his mate and insists he owes Laurel nothing. But will Jai’s conscience allow him to continue this shameful scam?
