Tonight is a very special and important episode of Coronation Street, as Todd finally tells the police absolutely everything. And while he’s confessing the truth, his family and friends are back on the cobbles worrying about him. However, fans have noticed two major characters have not been so much as mentioned throughout the whole storyline. And they want that to change right away. Summer has been there for Todd (Credit: ITV) Todd’s family and friends have been there for him For quite some time, Coronation Street viewers have been left heartbroken, watching Theo abuse Todd, isolating him from everyone he knows and loves. But tonight’s special episode sees Todd finally have the courage to tell the police exactly what has been going on behind closed doors. And immediately, his support system have gathered to be there for him. But while they all make it clear they’ve got his back, two main people who are missing are Todd’s actual family members – his mum, Eileen and his brother, Jason. The Grimshaws were always a close-knit unit when they were all on the show together. So, the fact that Todd’s own mum or brother have not been contacted about the situation is quite confusing. While Jason left for Thailand in 2016, Eileen’s last appearance was only last June. So, it doesn’t really make sense that nobody has contacted her to tell her what’s been happening. Yes, for a while nobody really knew. But as soon as they started properly suspecting, Eileen and Jason should’ve been called. And that’s exactly how Corrie fans feel too. Taking to social media, one fan penned: “At what point will someone in Corrie decide it’s time to contact Eileen and Jason to let them know what is happening to Todd?” Another fan proposed: “I’m sure George will mention soon that he contacted Eileen. And she’ll probably not be able to get back for some reason or another.” However, that wasn’t good enough for other viewers. One replied: “I don’t think you could keep Eileen away if she knew. I can only think Todd insists nobody contacts them. Maybe eventually he will tell them when he’s in a position to fly straight out to Thailand.” “Ridiculous that they’ve not even been mentioned! They should be here!” a third agreed.
