Richard Edwards
- Richard's favourite interviewees include Ridley Scott, Guillermo del Toro, Matt Damon, Jeff Goldblum and – perhaps inevitably – Mark “Luke Skywalker” Hamill. He’s also interviewed both incarnations of Brian Cox.
- Richard has visited numerous movie and TV sets but an undoubted highlight was sitting at the controls of Red Dwarf’s Starbug. He resisted the temptation to make spaceship noises.
- He’s also had the privilege of attending the San Diego Comic-Con – aka the Cannes of sci-fi – on 10 occasions.
Richard Edwards has worked as an entertainment journalist for over 20 years, specialising in the geekier end of movies and TV. He spent over a decade on SFX, the UK’s biggest selling sci-fi and fantasy magazine, and was editor when he left to go freelance in 2019. He’s since written for Total Film, SFX, Space.com, TechRadar, GamesRadar+, Rugby World and more, as well as working on outdoor website Advnture since its launch. He’s also contributed to Dorling Kindersley’s The Screen Traveller’s Guide, hosted lots on-stage panels, and made numerous radio appearances – often talking about Star Wars.
